Backed up by many years of experience and qualified to do the job right the first time, the thing that truly sets GHI apart from the rest is their ability to communicate and collaborate, both within their team and with their customers.

Brent Horne

Director / Carpenter

Brent has worked in the building industry for over 15 years, completing an adult apprenticeship in Carpentry in 2008.  In 2010 Brent and his wife Adele decided it was time to take the next step, starting their own building business, Gore Home Improvements Ltd.  Brent spends most of his time building and liaising with clients, and Adele manages the administration side of the business.

Now known as GHI, the business has gone from strength to strength, being well-known for their excellent workmanship and clear communication. GHI currently employ four other staff as well as bringing in and managing sub-contractors when needed. This gives Brent and his team the flexibility to deliver the very best results no matter what size the project, as Brent says “no job is too big, too small or unsolvable - we fix it all!”

Aaron

Carpenter / Foreman

Aaron is a valued member of the GHI team, with over 20 years' experience in light, medium and commercial building. He joined the team in July 2012 and believes the strength of the business stems largely from the collective experience of the team and the various skills each of them bring to the table, along with their ability to work well together lead by a boss with a level head and good attitude.

Michael

Carpenter / Foreman

Michael joined the GHI team in September 2014. He grew up with his Dad building around home, and has been building since the age of 17, it was this early passion for construction that attracted Michael to the building industry. Michael considers communication and working well together as a team vitally important to the success of the business.

Oliver

Apprentice 

Oliver joined the team in 2021 and has since started his apprenticeship.  He works well as a team and is enjoying what the job has to offer. 

Cody

Apprentice

Cody also joined the team in 2021 and has signed up to an apprenticeship.  Cody is eager to learn and is a great asset to the team.
